NO eggs!

During the warmer months we usually have 8-10 eggs a day. Not so this summer....because of this guy (or girl - I really don't care to find out!).

Before this thing moved to our farm, it was the size of an inch worm. After a diet of yummy farm eggs, this is what it looks like!

Porter Rockwell

Keenan recently went on a missionary field trip in SLC. He and a bunch of other missionaries went to a cemetary where a lot of 'notables' from our church are buried. Tim has always had an interest in Porter Rockwell who served as a bodyguard for both Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.

Tyler's Graduation

Tyler graduated High School on June 11th. Now we have 4 kids out of school and 4 kids in school! His graduation was hot - not quite as hot as Keenan's was last year though. It started 40 minutes late because 3 seniors were stuck in traffic. The traffic was backed up for 3 miles getting into school. It was the largest graduating class North has ever had - which is really awesome!!

Ocracoke Island

Brandee and Scott left yesterday after having an awesome 2-week visit with us! They took Hayleigh and Kirsten to Ocracoke for a couple of days. The girls were so excited! When Brandee was telling them about it, Kirsten couldn't pronounce "Ocracoke Island". She had several variations - like "cocralion" and "crokaloke". Brandee told them that they would take a ferry to the Island. Kirsten jumped up and down and said "a REAL fairy??" We tried to explain fairy/ferry, but it didn't make sense to my Tinkerbell-loving girl!

Track Awards and GOTR

A couple of weeks ago, Tyler had his track awards banquet. Tyler has really enjoyed track for the past 2 years and did REALLY well this year - missing states by only .09 seconds! He got all-conference and outstanding male runner for the 2011 season.







Hayleigh loves running too! She ran another 5K for GOTR (Girls on the Run). Tyler was her 'solemate', and Wesley (Tyler's best friend) ran too!
