My littlest is 6 today! Wow!

(had to edit this post and tell you what she did last night --- she 'conducted' us singing happy birthday to her! It was so funny!)

This is how it went:

Us: Happy Birthday to you!
Kirsten: STOP! (then she raised her hands over her head and said "cha-cha-cha")
Us: Happy Birthday to you!
Kirsten: STOP! ("cha-cha-cha")
Us: Happy Birthday dear Kirsten!
Kirsten: STOP! ("cha-cha-cha")

That kid is UNIQUE!

Spring Track!

Tyler and Ethan are participating in Track at the high school again this spring. They had their first track meet last week and another this week. The girls kind of like going along with me. At least they like the dinner I pack in the cooler!

This and that...

The last coat of poly goes on the floors today! I can't wait to move back upstairs....

For date night tonight, I am going to go watch Scott and Tim coach the high school girls' soccer teams...GO RAIDERS!

Ethan and Dallin have a scout camp out tonight - I'm so glad that the weather is going to be nice tonight - only down to about 55.

Keenan!

Keenan left the MTC (missionary training center) on Wednesday last week (March 9th). Here's a great photo of him with the Winns (mission president and wife). Please don't forget to check the link to the right - mamawinn's place - there's lots more photos of Keenan on there. It's so awesome of her to do a blog like that! We're so excited to be able to see what Keenan is doing!

Easter Dresses!

Lately, Kirsten has been testing some new personality traits that are funny....but not good at all. For example, she REALLY didn't want to go to bed a couple of nights ago. Tim put her on her bed and said good night to her. She sat on top of her bed with her legs and arms crossed for 20 MINUTES and kept telling everyone "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO SLEEP". 20 minutes is a long time for a 5-almost-6 year old to consistently be a brat!

The girls and I went to Kohl's yesterday (love that place!). Kirsten wanted to take about 10 Barbies with us, which I said was fine as long as they stay in the van. We got in the van and Hayleigh told Kirsten to buckle up. Kirsten said she 'couldn't' put on her seat belt. Of course this started a 'MOM GUESS WHAT SHE'S DOING' conversation..... I turned around and said "Kirsten, you need to buckle up to be safe and we are not going anywhere until you put on your seat belt." Kirsten replied, "I can't put it on. My freakin' Barbies are in the way." Seriously hard not laugh...but she still shouldn't be saying stuff like that!!

Anyway, we made it to Kohl's and found a really cute dress that came in BOTH Hayleigh's and Kirsten's sizes!

Last Glimpse of Keenan....

Here's the last thing we saw of Keenan ----


We've heard from him a couple of times..
He forgot some things that he wanted me to mail to him. He's sad that Kirsten cried when he left (we keep telling him that it's okay --- she knows that he's on his mission!). He wrote that he's been doing well teaching and that he likes laundry day because he can't stand having dirty clothes around.

He leaves the MTC tomorrow for his mission area. In my links on the right, there's a blog called "mama winn's" - that's his Mission President's wife's blog. I hope to see some photos of him on there. But, hopefully not the same as the one above!
