Hayleigh and 'the tooth'

When Hayleigh's teeth came in as a baby, she ended up with a fused tooth - just like Tim and Tyler. Fused teeth are a big pain in the neck. They don't fall out like other baby teeth do to make way for the adult tooth. We had to have Tyler's pulled and we took Hayleigh to get hers pulled last month. Her adult tooth was coming in behind the fused tooth, and hopefully we've gotten it taken care of in time to prevent braces. Here's a 'before' and an 'after' of Hayleigh - she has a great smile!

2007 - you might have to click on the picture to see Hayleigh's teeth.

2009 - a little bruised, but much better!

Flashback`

I can't believe how much my kids have changed in our years at Charlotte Soccer Club. This season is going to be so hard - it will be the last season my kids will wear the BLUE. Charlotte Soccer Club is merging with another club in Charlotte.

I'll dig through my pictures and find 'then' and 'now' pictures to share:

Brandee "then" - 2005 (in the ER with a torn ACL)

Brandee "now" - 2008 (happily married!)

I had to put this one in too - it didn't take long to get Scott in to a BLUE shirt!!

Kyle "then" - 2005

Renovations/remodels

Call it what you want - it sure is going alot faster than the addition! During the Christmas break, Tim and the boys started working on what we call 'the old half of the house'. There was so much dust when the carpet got ripped up and the walls came down! Even Misty has been sneezing! Poor kitty! Looking from the kitchen right through where the walls used to be into the kids' old bedrooms

My latest books

I'm currently reading a series called "Tales from Grace Chapel Inn". I found one called Recipes and Wooden Spoons at the library and LOVED it! I decided I had to read as many from this series as I could find. Turns out there's 43 books in the series and some are out of print even though they were started in 2002! I just won a lot of 4 of the books from ebay and I have several in my cart on Amazon. If you get a chance to read any of these books (check your library) I highly recommend reading them!!!

Busy!!

Soccer season is here!! Kyle, Keenan, Tyler and I were in Fayetteville this past weekend for the TFC Friendlies. Saturday's weather was cold, but yesterday was beautiful for soccer - about 65 degrees and sunny. Keenan was injured in the game on Sunday morning, but other than that, the games were great! Dallin played in the Winston-Salem Showcase and got a couple of goals - his team tied one game and won 2.

Dallin's stitches are out and now we are working on making sure the cuts don't turn into bad scars. We've got creams and patches and all kinds of potions. Hopefully he won't always have the deep lines on his legs, but if they stay, he can tell everyone the story of how he got away from a shark!!

Ethan participated in the Iredell County Honors Band on Friday and Saturday. The band students who auditioned and made Honors Band meet on Friday and learn new pieces of music and then have a concert on Saturday. Graeme enjoys taking Ethan to this event - this is the 2nd year that Ethan has been in Honors Band. Way to go Ethan!!!
