The first night, around 1:30 AM, I heard some very weird noises. You'll never even guess what was going on!! Some of them were scratching their sides on the porch and others were pulling down and EATING the tyvek house wrap (we have house wrap up in preparation for stucco). Seriously?? All that green grass and they were eating tyvek?? Strike One.
The next morning, Tim noticed that cows had been in the garden. The rope barrier didn't stop them - but what the heck would they want in muddy boxes anyway? - the plants haven't come up yet! Apparently what they wanted to do was to leave hoof prints in the boxes of VERY recently planted vegetables. They also wanted to chew on the plant markers. Yum. Strike Two.
There's no grass in the carport, but they wanted to be in there anyway. Now there's poop in the carport (which by the way, was cleaned out by Tyler and Caitlin last weekend!). Strike Three. The cows were returned to the pasture. They didn't even get a second night. Heck, it wasn't even 24 hours. Beef. It's what's for dinner.
