Ocracoke Island

Brandee and Scott left yesterday after having an awesome 2-week visit with us! They took Hayleigh and Kirsten to Ocracoke for a couple of days. The girls were so excited! When Brandee was telling them about it, Kirsten couldn't pronounce "Ocracoke Island". She had several variations - like "cocralion" and "crokaloke". Brandee told them that they would take a ferry to the Island. Kirsten jumped up and down and said "a REAL fairy??" We tried to explain fairy/ferry, but it didn't make sense to my Tinkerbell-loving girl!

Rosanne said...: Seeing these photos brings back fond memories. We used to take our kids to Cape Hatteras every summer. A ferry ride to Ocracoke was always a fun day! The beaches on Ocracoke were the best for shell collecting. :); June 18, 2011 at 7:59 AM
