This is good too......(from an email)

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the 2000 Presidential election: Number of States won by: Democrats: 19 Republicans: 29 Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000 Republicans: 2,427,000 Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million Republicans: 143 million Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2 Republicans: 2.1 Professor Olson adds: 'In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the 'complacency and apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the 'governmental dependency' phase. If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message. If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

This is too funny!

What the Heck???!!

This is a headline from Fox News website:

Obama Lays Plans to Kill Expectations After Election Victory

This is kind of like - 'you know all those promises I've been making about changing everything? Well, I don't think I can change much, so don't expect much from me. Please vote for me anyway.'

GEEZ!!

Happy Birthday to me....

Since I made my own dinner and baked my own cake, I guess I can wish myself a happy birthday too.

What a lousy day.

Big Mistake

I will warn you now. If you are easily offended, please don't read this post.

A couple of weeks ago, I made a comment that will haunt me the rest of my life - possibly beyond my mortal life!

I decided it was a beautiful day outside, I didn't have any soccer games - so I was going to wash all the boys' sheets. This was a good idea - little did I know it could turn out so badly! I mentioned to the boys that new sheets for Christmas would be good to put on their lists. I had noticed that their fitted sheets were becoming very 'pilly'. Thinking that they wouldn't know what 'pilly' meant, I said, "I don't know how you can sleep on all those little balls every night."

With 5 boys - I bet you know where this went. They laughed hysterically at me, and now bring it up at all times.

Fall

I am really enjoying this time of year! I can finally watch the kids' soccer games without melting from the heat. I can quit watering the flowers (til next spring!). I can decorate with leaves and pumpkins and cinnamon scented candles. I also love Halloween - the jack-o-lanterns, the hay rides, the dances in our barn, the costumes, the witches and ghosts...... Kirsten changes her mind every day about what she wants to be for Halloween. I think she's decided on being a pirate/princess/flower/witch! I'll have to be creative with that costume.

I decided to use my clay pots for something Halloweenie - I'll post pictures soon.
